1 Corinthians 13

Although my voice may speak with words
from all the earth and heaven above
its sound is but a futile din
unless the breath behind is love.

And I may see the days ahead
and plumb God’s deepest mysteries
and seeing all, be darkness yet
unless His love sees through my eyes.

Or I may stand as firm as rock
with faith to see the mountain move
yet find my faith is desolate
unless the moving force is love.

And even if I give away
all that I have, then die for Him,
all sacrifice is self-deceit
unless His love has lived within.
