I have just had a wonderful weekend at the Australian Christian Writers Conference in Victoria. Seventy Christian writers from around Australia, and a couple of Kiwis, came together for a time of fellowship, learning and networking.
The conference was held at the beautiful YMCA camp, Lake Dewar Lodge at Myrniong near Ballarat. We were all impressed with both the facilities and the food, which greatly excelled the normal “camp” standards.
A range of electives covered everything from how to fire up your imagination to marketing, to how to handle the transition from Christian to general market fiction, and meal times provided a great opportunity to meet new people and some whom we had known only through social media.
Even though it was a very full schedule, we left feeling that we had gained a great deal, as well as having a thoroughly enjoyable time.
