Declaration

At the bottom of every page of this site, you will find a declaration of the essentials of the Christian faith. This is something the Lord led me to put together last year, and to promote throughout the Body of Christ.

For hundreds of years, faithful Muslims around the world have been declaring aloud five times a day that their god is God* and that their prophet is the messenger of God. This has released into the atmosphere spiritual forces which have resulted in the cultural dominance of Islam which today we see increasingly in the world, including traditionally Christian countries.

We believe that this has gone on long enough, and that it is time for Christians to rise up, take up the spiritual authority we have been given in Christ, and come against it.** Christianity is not a “lay down and die” religion. We are servants of the one and only true and living God, who taught us to pray that His Kingdom would come and His will would be done on earth. It is a Biblical principle that we can’t pray without taking action to bring about our prayers. Therefore, if we are praying for God’s Kingdom to come on earth, we must be doing everything we can to usher it in.

Unlike the religions of the world, we do not have to fight with natural weapons. God has given us spiritual authority and spiritual weapons which are far more powerful than any guns, bombs or rockets. One of those spiritual weapons is the power of proclaiming the truth of His Word.

When we proclaim something, we activate spiritual forces. If we proclaim the truth, God stands behind His Word. If we proclaim falsehood, evil spiritual forces gather behind it to enforce what we have proclaimed.

For that reason, we are seeking to counter the proclamations that have been going forth for so long by proclaiming the truth of God’s Word.

This proclamation is Biblical. (I have included the references so that anyone who is not sure can look it up, but there is no need to cite the references when you speak out this proclamation.) It affirms the major truths of the Christian faith: both the divinity and the humanity of Jesus Christ; both the unity and the distinctiveness of the Persons within the Godhead; and the Lordship of Jesus Christ over all creation.

We urge you to take up this proclamation and use it. Declare it aloud seven times a day. Where possible, declare it in unison with others. If you are a Pastor, put it on an overhead or a PowerPoint, and have your congregation declare it together at the beginning of your meetings. If you have a web site, put it on all your pages. If you use e-mail, put it in your signature file. Pass it, and this explanation, on to others. Warriors of God, arise! Let’s take back the territory for our King.**

* Often people try to suggest that “we are worshipping the same God, just under different names.” We need to understand that the gods of the non-Christian religions are not the God of the Bible. The God of the Bible manifested Himself in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Any god of whom this is not true, is not the God of the Bible.

Think of it this way: I have two sons. If you were to come to me and say, “I know you. You don’t have any children,” then I would tell you, “You might know somebody else called Lynn Fowler, but you don’t know me. I am not childless. I have two children and five grandchildren.” It’s much the same with God.

** Note: In urging Christians to use this declaration, I am calling for SPIRITUAL action. I do not suggest that anyone should take physical action, or in any way discriminate, against those of any other religion. To do so would be totally unscriptural. Those who follow the religions of the world are lost souls who need a Saviour, just as we did. We need to pray for them and love them into the Kingdom. Our war is not with the people, but with the spiritual forces that hold them in bondage.
