Asian Christian Workers Seminar
When I received an invitation last year to speak at the inaugural Asian Christian Worker’s Seminar, I was thrilled. The seminar would be a gathering of Christian leaders from around Asia, and ministering to leaders is the thing I love to do most. As I see it, when you minister to an ordinary church congregation, you are ministering to one person at a time – but when you minister to leaders, you are reaching potentially hundreds of people – or even thousands.
Held in the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, the Seminar was originally planned for last August, but had to be postponed till this February 29th – March 1st because of conflicting commitments for some of those involved. The wait was well worth it, as more than 60 Christian Workers, ranging in age from teens to grandparents, from five different nations and a range of denominations, came together in unity under the banner of “Building His Kingdom.”
The organizers hope to make the Seminar an annual event, and there are tentative plans to hold it in the Philippines next year.
